Jackie holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication, with a major in public relations, from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. She has previously worked as senior administrator at Potter’s Village Ministry, a crisis center for vulnerable children. She is currently the Director of Ineza Parents’ School.

TURINAYO JACKLINE (JACKIE) BAGANIZI


Michael is a family physician and public health specialist and currently serves as the Deputy Program Manager of the Uganda National Program on Immunization for the Ugandan Ministry of Health. He has worked as a physician at the Kisoro District referral hospital for 15 years and as the hospital director for the past 5 years. He serves as a medical consultant to the community and is the Chair of the Board of Health for the Anglican Church. He also serves as the Chair of the governing board for the Potter's Village Children’s Center. Michael chairs several other school management boards and is the country representative for Doctors for Global Health in Uganda.

MICHAEL BAGANIZi


Ezra holds a master's degree in communications (marketing and public relations) from Wheaton College, Illinois and a bachelor’s degree from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. He has served in many Non-Governmental Organizations, some of which focused on children. 

EZRA NDAGIJE


Peace is a qualified secondary school teacher and current headmistress of Seseme Girls’ School in Kisoro.

PEACE RUZAZA


Rita is the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer with the Kisoro District Local Government. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda and holds a certificate in Administrative Officer’s Law from the Law Development Centre.

RITA BYIRINGIRO


Margret is a retired primary school teacher, a trained counsellor, and a former secondary school director. She is passionate about children and youth. She has been a Bible Study teacher for many years. She is a mother of 4 adult children and has 4 grandchildren.

MARGRET LOY TURIMUMAHORO


Sam is a clinical officer at Kisoro District Hospital and also has certificates in communication skills, project planning, and management. He has substantial prior experience with other nonprofit boards. He is a PTA chairman for Ineza Parents’ School. He is passionate about excellence and creativity in education.

Our Partners

In addition to our major U.S. partner, the Kisoro Children’s Foundation, we are grateful to a number of other individuals and organizations.

We are grateful to Wilson and Grace Baganizi for donating the land for the Ineza Children’s Centre.

We are grateful to Circle of Women, Inc. for providing funding to the Ineza Children’s Centre to build toilet blocks, water tanks, and a shower room for students and teachers at Seseme Secondary School for Girls in Kisoro.

We are grateful to Gulf for Good and Kibsons International for providing the funding to create a playing field, to build a playground, and to tile two buildings at the school.

We are grateful to the Shady Hill School in Cambridge, Massachusetts of the U.S. for providing funding for two teachers to travel to Kisoro to work with the teachers at Ineza Parents’ School in the summer of 2018. The contributions of the Shady Hill teachers will be felt at Ineza for a long time to come. In addition, the teachers spearheaded a book drive that resulted in 3000 books being donated to the Ineza Parents’ School.

We are also grateful to Herz und Verstand eV, the Lebmeier Family, Mgahinga Community Development Organization, and Virunga Engineering Works for providing financial, logistical and engineering assistance to outfit the kitchens at Ineza with clean burning, high efficiency, institutional cook stoves. And thank you to Raj Vatsa for volunteering his time to design this beautiful website.

Lastly, thanks to Accountants for International Development, based in London, for providing us with fabulous accounting support through two placements of volunteer accountants in Kisoro.
