Welcome to Ineza Children’s Centre
Our Story
Founded in December 2015, Ineza Children’s Centre is a non-profit Community Based Organization (CBO), seeking to address the holistic needs of children in the Kisoro District of Uganda. The organization offers primary education, psycho-social support, and recreational-, after school-, and holiday activities.
Ineza Parents’ School, a primary school in Kisoro, provided the first cornerstone to Ineza Children’s Centre. The school was founded by a group of parents, led by Jackie Baganizi, who had a vision for a school that could provide Kisoro’s children with an alternative to the overcrowded and understaffed public schools available to them.
HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATION AND CARE
With the support from Kisoro Children’s Foundation in the U.S., and other partners in Europe and Africa, Ineza Children’s Centre has expanded while sustaining our core values of high-quality education and care to the children in the district.
When founded, our goal was to provide intellectual, physical, emotional and psycho-social support for 500 children in the Kisoro district by 2025. With our partners’ support, we are proud to say that in 2018, we reached and exceeded this goal.
None of our work would be possible without our many supporters. We are very grateful to all of you for giving the funds that become gifts of education, of dignity, of opportunity, and of changed life trajectories.
